Windows-Based

Would you believe me if I told you that eye exercises, could help you to see without glasses? Our body needs exercises for good health, so do our eyes to remain healthy. They can relieve you of your glasses and correct some of the defects.

You can begin it at any time, from early childhood to old age. You may be able to correct your vision in the space of a few minutes or it may require many weeks. The length of time will depend on the seriousness of your eye condition, on your powers of visualization, and on the manner in which you perform your drills and exercises.

A Few Basic Exercises You Can Do

- Begin with taking off your glasses. I mean it literally. The less you wear them, the better it is for you. Whenever you put them on you restore the original refractive error, which the lenses are designed to correct. If you have been wearing them for a long time then at least start with leaving them off for as long as you can without much discomfort. Glasses correct the refractive error; they do not cure it. In fact, the longer one wears glasses, the weaker the eyes become. It is one basic exercise anyone can do.
- If you are near-sighted you must devote more attention than others must to posture, which tends to be poor in myopes. Always remember that your posture direct an important bearing on your vision.
- If you are cross-eyed, read with one eye patched, and then alternate. Put an eye patch over the good eye and read two pages with the poor eye; shift the patch to the poor eye and read one page with the good eye. Then remove the patch altogether and read a page with both eyes. If you follow this practice consistently, you can work to strengthen the weaker eye and train them both to act as a team.
- At frequent intervals, look at a letter or chart, which you have placed twenty feet in front of you and by concentrating your vision at the base of the letter, you will with the assistance of your imagination be able to see it blacker than the other part of the letter. This is done by closing the eyes at short intervals and imagining that part of the letter blacker.
- Stand at the window and look at a distant object the top of a tower or a chimney or a tree. Then glance at the face of your wristwatch. Shift your eyes back and forth from far object to near one. Don`t look hard at the distant object, trying to make out the details. Give it quick, easy glances. When you look at your watch, however, focus on a single number on the dial in order to encourage central fixation. Repeat ten to twelve times.

In Conclusion…
Apart from these exercises, you must develop healthy eye habits like blinking naturally. Practice rapid shifting, particularly from near to far and seeing a small area at a time to encourage central fixation.

Proper diet is important for eye health. We are, to a far greater extent than we realize, a product of what we eat. A lack of any essential food has its effect in the end upon weight, energy, and our capacity to throw off or guard against disease.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. You can judge by the results you get.
